Luxembourg's Bierger-Center Info-Conseils
Introduction
The Bierger-Center was created in 2001 in order to concentrate and facilitate the adminsitrative steps of the Luxembourgian population. In the Center, a cell called "Info-conseils" has the task to help every person.
Problem
The cell ("Info-Conseils") wants to help persons facing some problems:
  1. Specific issues to work and live in the city (formalities for establishment, scolarity).
  2. Information about the different institutions of the city.
  3. Writing assistance for various administrative steps (letters, formulars).
  4. Social assistance for conflictual situation (education, domestic life).
  5. Help regarding integration (language courses for adults, professional traning, assistance in the research of social, cultural or sporty activities).
Description
Each person may phone to the cell to make an appointment with a social worker. It is also possible to meet the social worker during office hours (some each working day, in the morning or in the afternoon). The social worker's interventions are free and confidential. The discussions are possible in Luxembourgian, German, English, French, Italian and Portugese.
