Introduction

The Action Plan specifies the measures that must be taken according to the National Strategy on Drugs 2000-2008.

Description

In early 1999, the Government Delegation in charge of the National Plan on Drugs began the process to develop the National Strategy on Drugs 2000-2008, in collaboration with the technicians in charge of the different regional plans and taking into consideration the opinions of public and private institutions working on the field of drug dependency.

The Action Plan contemplates six main fields:

Coordination.
Prevention and social awareness.
Integral attention.
Knowledge improvement.
Reduction of the offer.
International cooperation.

All the measures included in the Plan must contemplate the gender perspective, taking into account systematically the difference between the conditions, situations and needs of men and women.
