Note on territorial engineering: state of affairs, challenges and proposals - FR
Introduction
Territorial engineering has been a subject of reflection for several years and now involves new challenges and configurations at project management organisations.
Description
The professionals dedicated to implementing municipal policy work predominantly in local administrations, via MOUS teams (urban and social project management), on municipal contracts and their associated measures. Training must be developed for these positions in order to bring a greater degree of professionalism to these professions.
Another challenge is to better organise and coordinate the different engineering categories of territorial development projects. Lastly, in order to increase the competencies of local administrations, upstream investments have to be made in light-capacity infrastructures, and the various actors involved in territorial development projects must be assembled and given the tools they require.
