Introduction
Sets out the Government's action programme for delivering sustainable communities in England.
Description
Presents the Government's action programme for delivering sustainable communities in England. Includes details of action to: improve the condition of social housing and the local environment; tackle low demand and abandonment through housing market renewal; tackle the housing shortage by speeding up the planning system and supporting the development of affordable homes and key worker housing; protecting the countryside and encouraging brownfield development; developing new growth areas, including the Thames Gateway; and ensure the right framework of laws, decision making processes and skills.
