Introduction

The aim of the City of Cinisello Balsamo is to pursue a strategy directed to change the image of the city: from an anonymous place in the Milanese Hinterland to centre of culture, of innovation, of new welfare, of parks and of diffused quality.

Description

The programme foresees projects in synergy that aim to strengthen the level of urban autonomy of the city:

the tunelling of the provincial road number 5 and the environmental upgrading of the inner city and sustainable urban environment
restoration of the historical building Villa Forno for the installation of the University of the Studies in Milan Bicocca
realisation of a new park for the young people in the former ovocoltura agricultural site of Valmonte
functional reorganisation of the market in the former factory Cipro and renewal of the spaces of Soncino square. Urban laboratory to involve the citizen in the urban transformations foreseen by the programme Urban Italia
actions of formation, planning, business plan, start up and concrete start of the social enterprises that will manage the activities of promotion of service and of maintenance.
