The Environment Protection Programme for the City of Bydgoszcz for the years 2005- 2012 is strongly correlated with the development strategy of the city of Bydgoszcz and the development strategy of the Kujawsko-Pomorski Region. The document includes inter alia: assessment of the present state of the environment, in which main sources of pollution and consequences for the environment resulting from the forecasted social and economic development. In the elaboration ecologic goals and operation plan for the nearest four years have been defined. The operation plan contains priority ventures planned for the realisation in the city of Bydgoszcz in the years 2005 – 2008, aiming in protection and improvement of the environment and reducing environmental problems, their costs financing sources and entities executing particular ventures. Besides, the Environment Protection Programme specifies costs of programme implementation in the years 2005 – 2008, assesses financing possibilities and contains division of ventures by investing directions in the environment protection and financing sources.
