The Document is a modification of preconditions and directions of physical development study in Pila, approved by the City Council on 23^rd of April 1996. The document describes directions of physical development in the city. It characterizes intended directions of modification in spatial structure of the city as well as the principles of environment, cultural and historic heritage protection. It also describes directions of transport system expansion and technical infrastructure development. In the 3^rd chapter city spatial policy has been introduced. The city expansion objectives in the field of ecology, economy and society have been described. In the document information about areas in which preparing of local physical development plan is obligatory and areas in which local plan will be prepared can be found. Further more, the study includes basic city data, reference to physical development plan of Wielkopolski Region and the documents on region, district and city development strategy. The document consists of description part and graphic schemes including maps called:

a) functional-spatial structure of the city - directions of spatial transformation

b) destination model of transportation scheme

c) system of supralocal transportation tieins

d) city recreation tieins structure

e) basic elements of technical infrastructure systems

f) local physical development plans
