Introduction
The programme sets out main directions of changes in the functional, spatial and infrastructure structure of the Downtown of the City of Bydgoszcz
Description
The goal of the elaboration is to define main directions of changes in the spatial and functional structure of the downtown areas and to identify areas needing transformation, in which chosen for the revitalization. Its result will be development of downtown areas in the way responding to present social and economic needs and in relation to cultural, environmental and landscape preconditions. Proposed assumptions of the spatial development of the Downtown are elaboration in which functional and spatial preconditions influencing the way of areas development have been analysed in details and solutions giving chance for the Downtown development as an attractive and leading service centre of the city have been proposed. The document contains many analyses referring to different aspects of the downtown area development, justifying assumptions made in terms of downtown area development. Definition of transformation directions and of the scope of changes in the functional and spatial structure of the downtown areas should activate many development processes.
