Introduction

The urban development report analyses the asset, strengths and weaknesses in the structures and formulates guidelines and aims for the future development regarding different urban functions.

Description

The report represents the pre-stage of the urban development concept, together with the framework-plans of the districts. Within a first analysis strengths and weaknesses have been worked out in the asset with reference to the functions living, economy, traffic, supply, leisure and Luxembourg as international, national and regional centre. Hereon, development aims have been formulated, that will be integrated into the future urban development concept. In addition the report informs about the planning process of the City of Luxembourg and places civic participation within the process.
