Programme of Restoring the Brda River to the City
Introduction
The Programme’s aim is to improve the quality of water in the Brda River and develop the riverside
Description
The transformations proposed in the Programme aim at introducing changes in the functional and spatial structure of areas covered in the elaboration. Setting the Brda River as the most important element of the City’s spatial composition was seen as fundamental. The elaboration’s plan is to also expose objects of historical value and use for investment purposes, unbuilt areas together with areas regained after demolishing crumbling buildings. The realization of this Programme would increase the use of the river for recreational purposes by the inhabitants. It would improve the value of the city’s landscape, its attractiveness to tourists and improve its environmental state.
