Managing Asian Cities Report explores major urban challenges in Asia
Introduction
The challenge of urbanization in Asia is unprecedented — some 1.1 billion people will move to cities in the next 20 years. The 'Managing Asian Cities Report', published by the Asian Development Bank, aims to provide a useful management resource for urban professionals. The report explores the major challenges Asian cities will have to face in the upcoming year. It moreover suggests options for solving these issues. Overall, the report encourages Asian governments to especially play a facilitating role, rather than an executive role. This report forms a good source for those interested in urban development in Asia and provides knowledge on a wide range of urban issues.
