Innovative City® Program

Introduction
The Innovative City® is a joint development program of The Helsinki University of Technology (TKK) and the City of Helsinki.  The objective of the program is to improve the appeal and sustainable urban development of the capital region by utilizing R&D cooperation.
Description
The City of Helsinki and Helsinki University of Technology launched Innovative City® in 2001. The program maps potential collaboration opportunities between the City of Helsinki and TKK, coordinates ongoing research cooperation and develops practices that support R&D cooperation the whole way from conceptualizing the research projects to the efficient utilization of their results. Innovations are sought with multidisciplinary and multisectoral collaboration between the university, the city and companies.

  • Attractive urban housing.
