FCM's Sustainable Communities Conference and Trade Show - Ottawa, 10-12 February 2010
10-02-2010, Source: Federation of Canadian Municipalities
Introduction
The Federation of Canadian Municipalities's (FCM) Sustainable Communities Conference and Trade Show is the event in Canada for municipal leaders, decision makers and experts to exchange ideas and solutions towards creating a stronger and more sustainable community development.
Description
Over three days, delegates can attend interactive and capacity-building workshops, sharing knowledge with their peers and keynote speakers about topics ranging from water conservation to green development policies. They will hear how municipalities can save money and protect the climate. They will also learn about ideas and strategies that will help make their municipal operations more energy and cost efficient. And the conference trade show will feature exhibitors displaying the latest technologies and services related to sustainable community development.
From informative seminars and workshops to thought-provoking plenary sessions and a dynamic trade show, Canada’s national municipal sustainability event will benefit anyone with a stake in the municipal sustainability sector. FCM’s Sustainable Communities Conference and Trade Show are particularly designed to give municipal political leaders and senior staff an opportunity to engage in professional development. Consider sending a team from your community to learn about leading edge innovations and solutions to help make your communities more environmentally sustainable.
