BYPAD: Quality Standard For Cycling Policy in European Cities and Regions - Tartu (Estonia), 18-19 September 2008
18-09-2008, Source: CEMR
Introduction
How good is the cycling policy in your town, city or region? How can you improve it? Find out at the final BYPAD conference (Bicycle policy audit), organised on 18-19 September 2008, in Tartu (Estonia).
Description
Representatives from local and regional governments will present their results and experiences of using the BYPAD-tool during the past 9 years. BYPAD is an instrument for the evaluation of local and regional cycling policy and improvement of its quality. It has been developed, applied and continuously improved since 1999, with support from the European Commission. Meanwhile more than 100 cities and regions in 20 European countries are evaluating and improving their cycling policy, supervised by 34 certified auditors from these countries. BYPAD has become a European quality standard for cycling policy.
