 | URBACT Annual Conference - Montpellier, 30 November - 2 December 2008 30-11-2008 Introduction The Annual Conference 2008 of the URBACT European programme will be held in
Montpellier, France. The annual event will gather together all URBACT partners.
It will be the occasion to assess and discuss cities’ progress in responding to
the challenges they face: employment, competitiveness, social inclusion,
sustainable development and the role of integrated development policies.
Description
URBACT, the European territorial cooperation programme on sustainable urban
development, organises the exchange of experience between European cities and
the dissemination throughout Europe of acquired good practice and knowledge.
The URBACT conference is open to all city stakeholders, be they URBACT
partners or not, as well as to policy makers, administrative and technical
managers, consultants, experts, academics, private partners and field workers
throughout Europe who contribute to managing and developing European cities and
preparing the sustainable development of tomorrow's cities.
