Introduction

Urban development Concept of Gyöngyös was established by a decision of the local govrnment referred to the Act LXXVIII of 1997 which ordered to accept Local Development Concept in order to found structural and physical plans.

Description

Urban development Strategy for Gyöngyös was created with special attention to the followings:
transforming the local economy, enhancing the competitiveness, co-operation, city marketing, infrastructure developments for economic growths, enhancing competitive labour offer, management of social – environmental conflicts, etc.
This concept was based on previous researches, state-of-the-arts reports on recent situation in and around the city.
