Dynamic settlement network ARGUMENTS

Introduction
The document is a summary about the main conditions and priorities of the Hungarian settlement structures to improve, which aims to determine the most convinient approach to the development of the settlement network.
Description
The material summarizes the most important conditions effecting the settlement network, just like the political heritage of socialist planning system, the main trends after the transition having an influence on settlements and international impacts as well as external stresses. The document emphasises on the necessity of a concentrated, systematic national settlement policy with measures of special regulatory enactments and improvement founds.
The document aims to summarize the most important arguments to a prospective national settlement policy and to define a common basis on elaboration the expected work.
Conclusions
The document establishes the main requirements of improvement the settlement network in Hungary, first of all to support the ability and dynamism of settlements to growth, to avoid the limitative regulation in national settlement policy, to secure the conditions of a balanced, cooperative and organic settlement network for increasing the sustainability, rationality and effectiveness.
