Futuropolis 2058 - Singapore, 21-22 October 2008 21-10-2008 Introduction Futuropolis 2058: Creating Sustainable Urban Environments through Innovation
is a two day conference initiated by Singapore’s Agency for Science, Technology
and Research (A*STAR) and the Fulbright Academy of Science & Technology. It
aims to bring together the world’s most respected technical experts and
visionaries to shape the thinking and practice of urban leaders. The conference
will function as a catalyst to influence how the urban environments of the
future are studied, planned and managed through areas such as urban
infrastructure, city management, housing, sustainable energy, social networking
technologies and transportation systems.
Description
The program will include panel discussions, poster sessions, workshops and
presentations on technologies, trends and emerging scientific research that
could support sustainable metropolises of the future.
