Introduction

The Integral Waste Management Plan is the basic tool for planning, control, coordination and rationalization of all activities related to waste generated or managed by the Valencia Region, according to the European Union prescriptions in this field.

Description

The basic objectives of the Plan are:

Global planning of the actions developed by the regional government and the local administrations in the area of waste management.
Determination of the essential criteria on building, financing, management and exploitation of the infrastructures for processing and elimination.
Definition of the priorities of the activities, as well as the general strategic lines in the field of waste processing and elimination.
Definition of the territorial priorities of investment, to cover the existing needs and deficits.
