Observatory of Sustainability in Spain

Introduction
The Observatory of Sustainability in Spain (OSE) is an independent project working from February, 2005, with headquarters in the University of Alcalá (Alcalá de Henares). It initiates its activities as result of an agreement signed by the Ministry of Environment, the Biodiversity Foundation and the General Foundation of the University of Alcala.
Description
The OSE aspires to turn into a center of reference of state area that, in a rigorous way, compiles, elaborates and evaluates the basic information on sustainability in Spain (situation, trends and scenes), bearing in mind its different dimensions (social, economic and environmental).
The results, evaluated by means of confirmed indicators, will be offered at the disposal of the society with the aim of achieving the greatest projection and public relevancy.
