Passengers in the city buses as well as in the regional buses now have the upportunity to go by bus paying with their mobile phones.
It is not the first time FynBus is invovled in developing new technology for buses. In September 2007 they also launched online-buses with free Internet and digital traffic information.
Last year it also became possible to send a SMS to the bus to get the real time.
The SMS-ticket is yet another initiative in the proces of making public transport more attractive. But the SMS-ticket also solves the problem carring money in the buses.
”We are very proud of the SMS-ticket and believe the perspectives in this project goes a long way - also in the future. FynBus focuses on making it simple, easy and attractive to go by bus and in this context the SMS-ticket fits really well", the manager of FynBus direktør Lars Oksbjerre says.
