Real ways of learning

Introduction
This brochure explains how 'real ways of learning' can complement professional abilities and aptitudes and enable sustainable communities professionals and organisations to become more effective in their work.
Problem
Sustainable communities are places where people choose to live and work. They provide people with the housing, amenities, schools, hospitals, and transport they need to live fulfilling lives in an
environmentally sensitive way. They are safe places, offering opportunities to all and contribute to a high quality of life, but they don’t happen or thrive by accident.
Over 100 occupations have been identified as being involved in this challenging task. To enable the development of sustainable communities, the whole range of people involved in the process must have the generic skills they need to work across sectors and disciplines.
Description
Creating:excellence is championing a variety of experiences to equip sustainable communities professionals and organizations with the skills to work with other people and organisations to create places where people want to spend their lives.
This brochure explains how 'real ways of learning' can bring professionals and organizations together to share knowledge and experience. These way of learning are intended to complement professional abilities and aptitudes, and enable individuals and organisations to become more effective in their work and in their contribution to the creating sustainable communities.
