The first section - looks at the broken windows theory - how low level acts of vandalism and carelessness can escalate anti-social behaviour. An opinion piece setting out the situation and how it can be avoided to promote better quality urban environments.

The Environmental Justice section looks at the link between local environmental quality and deprivation. Snow to the Eskimo looks at how different sections of the community can be encouraged to recycle - looking at each section's barriers and what can be done to overcome and challenge them.

The report attempts to highlight the issues of local environmental quality and anti-social behaviour.

The papers have been published to be thought provoking and to raise issues around good quality environments rather than coming to any conclusions or suggesting recommendations.
