Research report into the provision, in Scotland, of inter-disciplinary and inter-professional training for people involved in community regeneration and the promotion of social inclusion, and into the possible need for more or different training.

There is a current widespread perception that increased inter-professional training is an important requirement for improved performance in regeneration and the promotion of social inclusion; the report considers what existing evidence, if any, there might be to substantiate this view.

The review was made of research literature focussing on training and education needs, available from a wide range of organisations.

The report summarises a variety of conclusions and recommendations made from a wide range of research reports from a number of agencies and government bodies. The research covers a wide range of sectors and groups, and different training methods and skills requirements – all with a view to regeneration and social inclusion.
