The 'how to' guide to project succession or closure

Introduction
A 'how to' guide which gives guidance on how to execute effective exit strategies for projects which have been reliant on funding from either the Single Regeneration Budget (SRB) or the European Social Fund (ESF) in London, both of which will be winding up shortly.
Description
The London Development Agency and the Government Office for London jointly commissioned this 'how to' guide and a practical toolkit to support SRB/ESF funded projects in planning their succession strategies or closure. The guide focuses on four possible succession routes: mainstreaming, further funding, enterprise or closure. Advice is included on: preparing a project for succession, including boards, leadership and funding issues; checking all aspects of the project management system, including performance management, quality systems, financial systems, equalities and sustainable development; demonstrating the project's ability to deliver its objectives; ensuring good knowledge of all partners and networks; and having a strategic plan for the future. The guide combines practical tips for these various processes and includes examples of successful practice.
EU involvement
Provides advice for the projects which have received funding through the European Social Fund Objective 3 Programme for London.
