Scotland's national transport strategy - UK

Introduction
The Scottish Government's strategy for the future of Scotland's transport infrastructure.
Description
The strategy document identifies Scotland's transport needs and describes the policy context. It analyses current trends and projections for the transport sector and the challenges that these pose. It also looks at how to improve journey times, reliability and connections and how to tackle congestion.
The measures already in place to reduce carbon emissions from transport are described, and what will be done in the future to further reduce them. It presents transport policies which aim to improve the quality, safety and affordability of transport and encourage social inclusion.
Plans are set out for the implementation of the strategy, including how it will be funded, the partnerships which will be involved, and how the strategy will be monitored and reviewed to test its effectiveness.
